Privacy
The short version: if you ask us for deadline reminders, we keep your email address and your company number so we can send them. Nothing else, nobody else, and you can delete it below in one step.
Using the checker doesn't create any record about you
You can look up as many companies as you like without giving us anything. We don't store the company numbers you check, we don't set any cookies — advertising, analytics or otherwise — and there are no accounts or passwords. The company information shown to you is public data from the Companies House register, which we simply fetch and display.
We do count how the checker is used, with cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics (PostHog, processed in the EU): anonymous events such as "a check ran and found an urgent risk" or "a check failed because the register was busy", plus the standard campaign tags on the link that brought you here. These events are not linked to you across visits — no cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting — and they never include the company numbers you look up, the director names in your results, or your email address.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical server logs. We don't use them to build any profile of you.
What we keep if you ask for reminders
Only if you tick the consent box and submit your email:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To send the reminder |
| The company number you checked | To know which deadlines to remind you about |
| A record that you consented, and when | So we can show your reminders were asked for, not assumed |
That's the complete list. We don't ask for your name, address, phone number or date of birth, and we don't store the directors' details shown in your results.
What we do with it
- Reminders before that company's confirmation statement and accounts deadlines.
- Occasional notes about filing tools we're building, which is what the consent box mentions.
We do not sell your address, share it for anyone else's marketing, or use it for anything not listed above. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time — including by using the form below.
Who else can see it
No other person or company receives your data for their own purposes. It is stored using Google Firestore, in Google's London region, and — when reminders begin — an email delivery provider will process your address solely to deliver our messages. The anonymous usage counts described above are processed for us by PostHog in the EU. Those suppliers act on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Until you tell us to stop. If you unsubscribe or delete below, it goes immediately. If reminders have gone unopened for a long time we will delete the address rather than keep emailing it.
Delete everything we hold about you
Enter the address you signed up with. This removes every reminder record we hold for it, for every company, straight away. There is no confirmation email and no waiting.
Your other rights
Under UK GDPR you can also ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@tidyfilings.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Who we are
